All of the words are microcosms of humanities, or, integral aspects of the definition of humanities. Art, being the marker by which we judge both present and past cultures, is congruous with the fundamental principals of being human. As a culture art, in any form from film to food, is an agency for peoples myriad emotions, hegemony, systems, beliefs and interactions. This art is more potent than simply an arrow into the past, it is a bullet into our present selves. Truly glorious art, art that transcends time and remains applicable, enlightening, supportive and/or uniting and scattering human minds. Great art is indeed humanity, the composite of an eclectic array of fields dispersed through a multifarious planet resulting in a multifaceted world of art, representative of its wholly singular, yet undoubtedly connected, human race. History, art, literature, and film are usually seen as the cardinal arts, but certainly interpretative history, economics, law, politics, social morality and human relationships can also be construed as art: all products of a human environment created by humans in the name of humanity. Though opposition is readily available in the works of Schopenhour, Zola, Marx, Kafka and numerous others who would argue these systems work against our fundamental humanity instead of for it, but the bottom line is that virtually all we do as a people, everything we create, is bonded by the capricious cement of humanity.
